Proofreading
Proofreading is the final pass before printing. I proofread all types of material beyond poetry books: proposals, novels and web copy. Chicago Manual of Style, 18th edition.
Copy Editing
Copy editing ensures your writing is consistent, clear and correct. I read your copy carefully and make corrections as revisions and add questions if needed.
I have has been evaluating poetry for over 15 years and am eager to share my passion for the art form. A lyric poet by nature, I am well read and adept at recommending books and models to help writers advance their work. Combining an analytical mind with a sensitive soul, I am attracted to poems with sound, sense and heart.
Books I have edited include handmade artist books, self-published books and, currently, a first book poetry manuscript seeking a publisher. This same poet had her chapbook Sunflowers & Bony Wings win the 2025 AV Christie competition by Seven Kitchens Press.
